Private hospital provider Ramsay has reported a 10.9 per cent increase in revenue for the first nine months of the financial year 2023.
The company said the increase to $11.242 billion reflects growth in surgical admissions and a post-pandemic recovery in non-surgical admissions. It said this was complemented by contributions from recently acquired companies, including Elysium Healthcare and GHP.
The company reported a 16 per cent rise in net profit after tax of $235 million.
According to CEO Craig McNally, "As we’ve said consistently, we expect that the operating environment will continue to improve through the 2023 year. The adaption of the business to what we now consider to be the new normal, will include the sharing of ideas across the regions on page 2 productivity initiatives and innovative ways of working. So, with that I’ll now open for questions."
