Private Healthcare Australia seeking new executive

Latest News

Private Healthcare Australia is looking for a new senior executive with the association advertising for a company secretary and director of governance and regulator relations.

This association said the senior position, which can be based in Canberra, Sydney or Melbourne, will report directly to chief executive Dr Rachel David and work closely with the other executive directors.

Private Healthcare Australia (PHA) is the peak representative body for Australia’s private health insurance industry. It represents 24 health funds with a combined membership of over 13 million Australians.

"The successful candidate will support the Chief Executive achieving the advocacy initiatives of the private health insurance sector including liaising with internal and external private health stakeholders on governance matters and providing support to the PHA Board," it says.

The association says the successful candidate should have an expert understanding of the Australian political environment and preferably experience as a senior political staffer and an understanding of Australia’s health system.

They should also have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the financial services regulatory environment.

Applications can be emailed (admin@pha.org.au) and close on 28 February.
