A promotion for Gavin Fox-Smith, chair of the Medical Technology Association of Australia, who is moving from managing director of Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices for Australia and New Zealand to a senior regional role.

Mr Fox-Smith, who will remain chair of the MTAA, will lead Global Educations Solutions for Johnson & Johnson's Asia-Pacific Region.

According to the company, he will lead the capability build for education, sales force excellence and will continue to lead the Market Access Council for Asia Pacific. Mr Fox-Smith will be a team member on the Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Asia Pacific Regional Leadership team and the Global Education Solutions Leadership Team. 

Mr Fox-Smith will be succeeded as the head of Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices for Australia and New Zealand by Sue Martin.

Ms Martin is currently Asia Pacific franchise lead, Cardiovascular and Specialty Solutions Group, and will remain a member of the region's leadership team.

She joined Johnson & Johnson in 1999, has had a variety of roles globally and locally, and currently leads the Women In Leadership Initiative across the region.
