Amplar Home Health, one of the country’s largest in-home care providers, has achieved reaccreditation against the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards for another three years.

Dr Janette Randall, Amplar Health's chief medical officer, said reaccreditation is another significant milestone for Amplar Home Health after its recent brand change from HSS.

“The auditors provided positive feedback on the quality and safety of our service, our patient centred approach and our commitment to continuous improvement. They were struck by the acute nature of the care provided, the volume of services delivered each year and the geographical reach of our programs,” said Dr Randall. “Unsurprisingly, the most positive feedback was in relation to our people –the respectful and compassionate care they deliver.”

Amplar Home Health is one of the largest in-home care providers in Australia, having delivered more than 145,000 visits in the home in the financial year 2023.

Headquartered in Adelaide but providing care nationwide, Amplar Home Health employs more than 180 nurses and partners with a large network of contracted providers to ensure geographical coverage to over 97 per cent of the population.

CEO of Amplar Health, Dr Andrew Wilson, said, “We have been providing care to patients in their home since 1989. This is a very positive accreditation result, testament to the multidisciplinary team who work collaboratively with referrers, healthcare professionals and consumers to deliver much needed care for all of our patients.”

*As at June 2023. Calculated based on population of 23,345,326 and Amplar Home Health’s network of staff, agency and brokered providers able to deliver in-home care across any service type (clinical and non-clinical)."
