Medibank's group executive of technology and operations John Goodall has announced his retirement after more than six years with the company.
Since joining Medibank in December 2016 Mr Goodall has been responsible for Medibank’s technology, property, procurement and operations functions.
He came to prominence during the recent unlawful cyberattack on the company that led to the release of individual member data.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank John for his significant contribution to our business over the past 6 years and we all wish him well in his retirement,” said Medibank CEO David Koczkar.
Mr Goodall will retire from Medibank in April 2023.
The company said it will now begin the process of appointing a new leader of its technology and operations. It said this will include consideration of both internal and external candidates.
Kylie Williamson will act in the role in the interim. Ms Williamson has been with Medibank for almost eight years, including serving as its senior executive of core Medibank customer systems for the past four years.
