HCF and Healthscope avert higher costs with new two-year agreement

One of Australia's leading private hospital providers, Healthscope, says it has signed a two-year agreement with HCF.

Healtscope maintains a nationwide network of 41 private hospitals.

The agreement follows several months of challenging negotiations with the companies' former agreement expiring at the end of January.

The absence of a new agreement would mean higher out-of-pocket costs for HCF members.

HCF and its related private health funds have around 1.7 members.

At the end of 2022, HCF announced new five-year deals with other private hospital providers, including Ramsay.
