HBF sells pharmacy management company

HBF has sold the management company of its network of 31 Western Australian pharmacies to Pharmacy 777.

The insurer said uniting the two pharmacy networks under the Pharmacy 777 brand will approximately double the number of pharmacies providing services such as free flu vaccinations and health checks to HBF members.

“In Pharmacy 777 we’ve found a partner with the same passion as us; to improve the health of Western Australians," said HBF CEO John Van Der Wielen.

"This alliance will mean thousands more HBF members will have ready access to the health services that come with HBF membership.”

HBF said Pharmacy 777 will become its exclusive provider of preventative health services including flu vaccinations, health checks and weight management programs.

It added Pharmacy 777 will provide a package of financial and operational support to help Friendlies pharmacies transition to the its brand and enjoy the benefits of the alliance.
