HBF closes branches in Western Australia in response to lockdown

News

HBF has temporarily suspended face-to-face member service in its branches across Western Australia in response to the state government’s COVID-19 restrictions announced on Sunday 31 January.

The company said the health of its employees and members is its priority and that, as a result, branches outside of the Perth, Peel and South-West regions will also close until further notice, as will HBF’s head office in Perth.

It said branch staff will remain available to members via other channels including phone and online chat.

“I want to reassure our members that we are here to help and updates will be provided in the coming days on our website and social media channels,” said chief executive John Van Der Wielen said.

“We look forward to re-opening our branches and head office when it is safe to do so.”

It added its Melbourne branches are unaffected by these changes.
