South Australia Health has selected Amplar Home Health as a panel provider to deliver the Community Care (SACC) program on behalf of the state's government.
Since 2018, Amplar Home Health, formerly known as Home Support Services, has been the health service provider delivering a workforce of nurses and allied health providers to provide in-home care to the community.
Service types available through SACC include wound and medication management, paediatric care, continence management, allied health, end-of-life care, post-procedural accommodation and transport, equipment, interpreting services, and activities of daily living.
Amplar Health CEO Dr Andrew Wilson said the new contract was a credit to the dedicated health professionals who work tirelessly to ensure patients receive the care they need in the comfort of their own home.
“In the past year, our Amplar Home Health team in South Australia saw more than 4,400 patients under the SACC program, equating to almost 42,000 at home visits. That’s a significant figure and a reflection of how this program supports the broader health system in South Australia," he said.
